From the very beginning, Commission Air decided the best platform from which to supply aerial pictures of the highest quality had to be the Robinson R22 helicopter. A reliable and highly manoeuvrable machine with a top speed of over 120 mph. The helicopter's “bubble” cockpit gives the crew excellent visibility in order to navigate between sites. The R22 is also very stable in windy conditions, enabling us to remain on station attending to work when fixed wing operators may have to leave and return later.

It was our basic intention to provide individually commissioned aerial photography at a low price, never before seen in the industry. Testament to the success of this revolutionary idea is the fact that we have photographed well over 30,000 individual sites, and now, well into our second decade of operation we offer a remarkable level of stability. We also offer a simple, easy to understand pricing structure that does not change, regardless of your location – again a novelty in this industry.
